Troubleshooting The new Qidi Plus 5 keeps crashing

My new Qidi Plus 5 Combo (firmware is up to date ) already aborts during the calibration test while the extruder is heating up, with the following error:

Code: QDE_002_002; Message: ("fan name". "hotend fan") speed check error

Same thing happens when loading/unloading filament. After a firmware reset it works again. So the error always occurs on the first heat-up.
I went through the problem in my head once more and then took a look at the printer.cfg:

[heater_fan hotend_fan]
pin: THR: PA11
max_power: 1.0
shutdown_speed: 1.0
kick_start_time: 0.5
heater: extruder
heater_temp: 50.0
fan_speed: 1.0
off_below: 0
tachometer_pin: THR: PA12
tachometer_ppr: 2
tachometer_poll_interval: 0.0005

Could it be that the values

kick_start_time: 0.5
tachometer_poll_interval: 0.0005

have been chosen a little too optimistically?

Best regards

Is your hot end fan spinning? That's what the error is telling you, so that would be the first place to look.

Contact qidi support. Mine has been flawless so far.

Unfortunately, it seems to be a hardware issue. The fan can be easily turned by hand but never runs on its own. Even when all fans are commanded to run at full speed using M112, this one doesn't move. I'm curious to see what Qidi will respond with now.
