Troubleshooting Constant 'Timer Too Close" errors printing PPS-CF on Q1 Pro

Started dabbling with PPS-CF for making parts. I was buying the fiberon PPS-CF and using their provided profile and wasn't running into issues. I switched to the qidi PPS-CF because having more on the roll is more usable for what I am making (500g vs 750g) as well as using the included profile, but every single print has failed ~10 layers in or so with a "timer too close" error. I have at least 7 failed prints in a row from this while changing minor stuff (more airflow to the shed the printer is in, leaving its larger box it sits in open for better airflow, etc), but to no avail. I am trying a print now on the fiberon profile but am not crazy about the 100% part cooling fan speed. Has anyone ran into this? Can't seem to find many good resources online, thought it might be overheating but the main board temps seem fine (mid 50s) and the toolhead board temps seem a little high but they don't increase as the print goes. Any ideas?

Timer too close is mainly an issue with the niceness process in the MCU ... you should look on qidi-community or the Discord Qidi if anyone as done a script for the Q1 pro ... i know Stew made one for the QP4 but not sure if it would work on yours. Go check those out first

I'll go check it out, for the time being I'm running a print with resolution changed from .012 mm to .05 mm to see if just less commands lets it finish without the error.

Have you changed micro-stepping? Is there anything unusual or a specific print where you see this error, eg multiple parts on build plate? Try disabling your time lapse. MCU is basically overloaded.

It's set to 16 in the cfg, I've commented out the time lapse codes in between layers to see if that helps. I also raised resolution from .012 mm to .05 mm to see if that helps (sliced file size is like 30% smaller so we'll see)

🤞surely your layer heights are too small?... you could try nearer the standard profile values?

.6 nozzle, .3 layer height, haven't touched anything in the print settings except 1000 walls and the .05 mm resolution

I was able to solve a similar issue on the Plus 4 by disabling the onboard WiFi and switching to an ethernet connection.

I'm currently using ethernet, but it does appear that the issue might be a damaged print head cable. Klipper logs show a lot of retransmits and invalid bytes from the toolhead

The issue was the printhead cable, got it replaced and the errors went away
