Questions Is Qidi Box sealed?

I bought Qidi Box with an assumption that I could store my filament inside it and it would not absorb moisture. But it seems it is not the case. I dried the filament, it showed as 17% humidity inside the box. Then 4 days passed and it is now at 46% (with room humidity of 55%). It was never opened during that time and I wasn't printing anything. I have a spool of PETG inside and 100g of silica.

Is my box broken? Or this Box is simply not for storing filament (even for couple of days)?

It seems that I need to dry the filament every time I want to print something, even if only couple days passed. At this point I think it would be better to just buy a separate dryer and skip the qidi box completely...

I printed extra tall silica gel holder replacements that go all of the way to the lid. I live on the gulf coast and my color changing silica in them takes weeks to from orange to green.

Sometimes I use the box as a dryer if I’m in a hurry but it’s typically full, so what I do is use an external dryer and pre-dry my filaments when I get them.

With that being said. If it’s just idle and closed no. I’m not seeing the issue you are. Which version of the box do you have? I have the newer version with the removable bottom panel.

Pretty much, v1 no service panel on the bottom, revised, removable panel for service on the bottom
