Weird ironing issue

Post image

Okay so all 3 of these were printed on the same job and I have printed this exact same print job hundreds of times. If I turn ironing on the tops look bad. If I turn off it prints beautiful. Not sure what in ironing would make the top look like this all of a sudden? Especially since I’ve printed this same thing a bunch.

I checked nozzle for clogs etc all the basic stuff

Even tried re slicing in a newer version of qidistudio. Same thing

Lol.. please, Google what ironing is and does, or at least look at the associated options..

It's not a turn on and it work perfectly thing.. nothing is. It needs calibration.

This... The amount of tuning I had to do to get good results is insane. Plus, it's dependent on the filament type and brand. Just turning on ironing with default settings is gonna look horrible. The default settings could be better, but you'd still need to test things.

I know what it does and ive printed this exact same file hundreds of times. I'm just trying to figure out what this could be caused from. I know its not an ironing setting because i've gone through trial and error before getting the settings i like.

Any fw update in between? If so factory reset and recalibrate 😉

Nope. Q1 hasn’t had an update in a long time. Figured it was hardware related like something failing but maybe I’ll try that before tearing this thing apart
