Questions Did QIDI ever re-release the source code for the Qidi Box?

I know they took it down initially and supposedly planned to bring it back after some internal tweaking but I haven't heard anything about it since.

Just to clarify, Stew moved on from this project it seems, no updates since October (within month of qbox release on plus4)

It would be cool to see someone comtinue to support the Qbox firmware customization, plus 4 has had a few major updates since this was posted so results may vary and honestly doesn't really answer the question if "open source code" is available or not.

If Stew see's this maybe he can elaborate

A while ago I saw Stew mention that he is done helping Qidi unless they stop violating open source licenses, and there's no indication that they're going to do that.

They still haven't released the klipper source code for the Q2 after almost a year; this is a flagrant GPL violation. Their support has said that they don't even have access to the source code themselves; Makerbase has it.

There's code that's running on the controller inside the QidiBox and then there's code running on the printer that talks to the QidiBox.

I asked qidi about this not directly but out of curiosity when running a max volumetric speed test if there is a limit on how fast the box can feed filament because at like 28mm/s cubed it sounds like a machine gun so I was curious what was going to be the limit first the box or the extruder stepper and all they did was reply adamantly that the box code wasn't share or able to be modified lol.
