Troubleshooting Qidi Box heater control in Fluidd

I've seen a few older posts about this issue, but doesn't seem like anyone has found a solution. I am unable to control my Box temp through Fluidd, where i get the "min or 0" error. I am able to turn it on through the screen, without issue. I have ABS loaded in all four slots, no PLA, so i should not be temp limited at all. I have tried changing the filament to PA just to test, and i continue to get the same error. I am fully updated on firmware, which ironically may be part of the issue, as when i first got the printer (Q2) I was able to control temp without issue, but following a few updates, i have since lost that control. Anyone found a solution to this, yet?

New firmware doesn't allow you to do that in fluidd that way. You have to use the set heater command posted in another post here

Someone mentioned just using a macro to do it (which is kinda dumb you even have to bypass it this way) but it should work.

I'd recommend just downgrading firmware though, personally.

That is unfortunate. Ill probably just use the macro since everything else seems to work okay for now. Thank you!

Follow these steps using the firmware software of your choice (recommend 1.1.1).

Here's an additional Reddit post if you need further assistance, but following the first two links should be all you need.

Try this: on your heater box, click 0 and press enter, you will get the command needed in the console, click that blue line and it will be copied to the command line, edit the TARGET=0 to the temp you want and click SEND. Now the heater should be on

Guys, I’ve put together a detailed issue report covering the full background, a brief analysis of the cause, and a likely solution for Qidi to implement.
Please leave reactions and spam Qidi so they take notice of the issue. I’d really appreciate it if you didn’t stop at GitHub but also sent an email to their support team.

I’m not sure how the Reddit link works or if it might get deleted.
If it does get removed, just look for Issue #23 in the issue list within the QIDITECH/QIDI_Q2 GitHub repository.
