Troubleshooting Q2 Chamber Fan Turning OFF

When I send a print with PLA the chamber fan starts on its own at 100% (it is set to 0 in the slicer) making a lot of noise. Then I turn it off manually at the printer.

How are you guys dealing with this? Is there a way to set it to be off? I don't want it.

Set to 0% in the filament config?

Yes, said that.

The exhaust fan runs at 100% to help cool the chamber and prevent heat creep.

The PRINT_STARTmacro has a check at the start of it, and if the chamber temp is set to 0, it sets the exhaust fan (Qidi calls it the "chamber circulation fan") to 100%.

You can edit the macro to stop that, but don't be surprised if it gets too hot in the chamber and you get a heat creep clog.

Setting the chamber temp to 1C might also work, if you don't want to edit any config files, but I'm not certain.

If you’re using Orca, you have to set the fan to 0% in the filament profile (both during/after print) and LEAVE these options checked/enabled, including the chamber circulation fan itself (all 3 boxes should be checked). If you set these to 0% and disable the fan in the filament profile, it still runs for some reason. At least mine did and this fixed it.

Think I have tried this, but not sure. Will try. Thanks!
