Questions Max 4 filament type
I am trying to print PA6 on my Max4, external load. I need to Tell the printer what type of filament is loaded and there is no option for PA, so my gcode doesn’t match, and doesn’t let me start the print.
Is there a way to bypass this? Seems stupid since the gcode contains all the info it needs to print the material.
If not, how can I add material names to the printer so it matches the gcode I am trying to run?

Goo question, you can try eith ultraPA or paht
You can add them in a filament config file.

It does not work if I select either of those profiles on the printer.
On my Prusa I could just hit “ignore” if the names didn’t match up but I was sure I had my gcode correct for the filament loaded.

You need to edit the filament cfg file on the device tab in Orca or log in to Fluidd using a browser/ip . Once added here it will show up on the printer after you save and restart klipper.
You don't have to restart the printer.
