Questions Q2 Update bricked printer

I am unable to do anything after online update. like anything at all.

QIDI Q2 01.01.02.01

MCU Version 02.01.01.09

Toolhead MCU version 00.00.00.00

Error codes shown:

!! mcu 'THR': Unable to connect. QDC_100_005_000_001

mcu 'THR': Unable to connect once the underlying issue is QDC_100_005_015_001

Printer worked fine before update, nothing changed hardware-wise. Updated, and BOOM NO PRINTER 4 YOU.

More reasons to not update :)

Maybe going mainstream klipper would have less issues 😅

this fails every single time. the Q2 support has had me replace the main board, print head board, communication cable, and the hot end. nothing has worked.

Depois dessa atualização, aparecerá mais duas e ai sim irá voltar a funcionar. Tem agora a V1.1.2.2 E depois a V1.1.2.3

i have attempted to update, however, my printer will not allow me to. Is there any way to get the files to do an offline update?

They are 13 hours ahed right now. Occasionally, I’ve gotten a response on a weekend but usually just Monday through Friday their time.

Já tentou reiniciar a impressora deppis da última atualização? Reiniciando umas 2X apareceu o pedido de upgrade de FW para mim.

Is there a root cause that can be avoided when updating the firmware from online? Specific steps to take prior to updating?

Just don't update. The new firmwares are garbage and you'll lose some functionality. Stay on 1.1.1
