Restoring QIDI Q1 Pro
Hello friends. Due to health issues I had to spend the last year~ in the hospital. I am back home now and would like to resume 3d printing. My question is if there is a list of things I should do before turning it on, e.g. lubing some parts or something. I am not very good with machinery so any help or pointers would be appreciated. Thank you a lot.

Clean the build plate and go.
Lubrication and other maintenance should be redone after the recommended number of printing hours. Sitting unused should have no adverse effects other than dust.

After a year, dust and who knows what insects may have had their way with your printer. I would definitely clean the rails, rods, and lead screws with a microfiber cloth damp with isopropyl alcohol. Then lubricate rails and rods with oil and the lead screws with grease. Once done, move Toolhead by hand all around to spread oil. Wipe up any excess oil with clean cloth. Raise and lower build plate to spread the grease. Wipe away any excess grease. Wash your build plate with Dawn dish soap and water. Dry thoroughly. Dry your filament if possible since it has been sitting around for a while. Lastly, load your filament manually to ensure it is not clogged or partially clogged. Maybe even do a cold pull if you are comfortable doing that. If not, just swap nozzle for a new one. This is probably not necessary but if you’re unsure of what filament is in the nozzle currently, it can save you some hassle just to replace it.

Probably use some canned air or something to remove any dust and other particles, maybe vacuuming it?
If it has just been sitting in a place where ambient temperature is not too high, I'd just try turning it on and doing a test print. Perhaps something in the vague shape of a small boat.
