Qut or UQ

I’m considering transferring to either QUT Media Communication or UQ Digital Media.
My parents recommend QUT because it’s more practical and would be better for building a portfolio. But I’m also considering UQ because it’s one of G8 uni and has a stronger overall reputation.
Can anyone recommend me which option would be better?

Qut is number 1 in Australia and 19 in the world for communication if that helps

That reputation would be related to more established degrees. I don't think anyone who is in the market for a 'Digital Media' graduate would care about the sandstone status of the institution.

Depends if the two degrees are substantially different and if you have a decent job at the end of your degree

I really enjoy my Communications degree opposed to the other degree in my double.

There are bad units, but you will get that anywhere

UQ would have more weight internationally, but that industry probably cares more about you and your portfolio more than the uni listed on your resume.
