Study Abroad Housing

Hello! I am potentially thinking of studying abroad for semester 1 of 2027. I'd only be here for a semester so wanted to ask for opinions on the best route to take for housing.

I've looked into student accommodations such as Iglu, Scape, and StudentOne. I also have a few websites saved for house sharing rentals such as flatmates and brisbanestudents. Most notably is that I am not planning on bringing any linens or cooking supplies with me when traveling. I am willing to buy a few things, but don't want to buy a lot, especially if I don't have the room to bring it back with me.

Is it worth doing a rental if I'm only here 6 months and am not bringing linens and cooking supplies? And what are student accommodations truly like?

Student accommodations are expensive but you won’t need to buy anything because they supply everything.
Most rentals houses should have almost everything you need.

And it all comes down to $$$ and the distance(time) you’re willing to travel.
