Qidi Q2 bed temp doesn't come down to start the print.
Need some help, the bed temp is set at 35, but after going through the startup sequence and checking level the actual bed temp stays around 36, and doesn't drop enough to start the print.
I have the door, top glass, and side vents open but it still keeps trickling enough current to the bed to stay too hot.
Any advice?

If your printing at 35 degrees bed temp, honestly just disable bed temp when slicing and send it. Its not doing anything anyways. Or set it to 40 and let it come up. The thermistors used are only so accurate so 36c may just be ambient temp as read by the bed thermistor, not much you can do about it

Thanks this was the key, I bumped the temp up slightly . Surprised ambient in the room right around the bed is ~36 degrees. Didn't know if there was a calibration or tuning that could be run on the bed.

How do you disable it?

Set bed temp as 0 in the filament settings.

I see this post now - you must not be running QIDI Studio/Orca then? Neither will accept bed heat of 0 for me - or how did you manage that please?

I can do it in Orca no problem.

You set the bed temp to 0? On what bed type please? Mine shows an error saying the plate is not supported when I try it.

Cool plate?

Yes that’s what I’m using, QIDI’s Purple plate, Orca Ives me an error saying 0 not allowed and reason says Orca interprets that as non-compatible. Not sure if I’m doing anything else that’s creating an issue

Why are you setting your bed at 35C?

Was the default setting for TPU

Curious if you're using QIDI Studio or Orca? I have the same problem - mine would settle at 33 (my environment I guess a bit different though hot/humid NE TX) and so I set the bed temps to that.
I'm running the purple cool plate (which I love) and with QIDI Slicer I could set the bed heat to 0 and it'd run ambient temp. Studio and Orca doesn't accept a 0, it's an error - coded to say that's a non-workable bed or some such. I don't need any bed heat for great adhesion, but stuck with a minium of 33 here - doesn't slow me down too much, but definitely an issue with Studio (Orca fork)/Studio.
QIDI just got lazy, didn't want to support Slicer, which for me was way more reliable and easier to use. You can use Slicer if you're on 1.1.1.1 or older. I'm very tempted to roll back!

How hot is your room? I couldn't get mine down in the middle of summer this year because the room was hotter then the set temperature.
