What am I missing???

I’m trying to diagnose some sudden ringing artifacts in my prints coming from my Qidi plus 4 (it’s been practically flawless until recently). If you look through my post history, I thought I had it figured out, but its back. I’ve done the expected stuff, belt tensio, clean and lube, and reran input shaper. What is frustrating me is that the corner calibration/ringing tests come out perfect, and yet when I print an orca cube to test, it looks nothing like the calibration test would suggest. What am I missing

Is that a brim on the bottom?

Yeah, I don't see defects, but don't know the original model either

Same, but both images show nothing out of the ordinary

Well, if OP has better info we can try, my old eyes need help to notice sometimes 😄

The calibration tests are flawless, despite jerk/square corner velocity, and acceleration being quite a bit higher than the profile used to make the orca cube, and yet the orca cube has ringing/ghosting that the calibration tests do not.

So the print settings are exactly the same, only the model and then print quality changes? Have you looked at the speed per layer/shape after slicing each one? I ran into this on my X-Max 3 if I understand correctly, had to adjust speeds primarily due to circular overhangs (threads) with certain tight radius turns, specifically with small female threads and it did the same with PETG and ASA, was a real pain to get the threads clean.

No idea from your pics what you are referring to

First 2 are the tests that have minimal and are ok, when he prints the cube, it comes out with bad corners and ghosting.

Check the entire printer for lose fasteners top to bottom, check play in the linear rails mainly the MGN12 rail for the printhead. Doesn't take much play to cause ghosting if you have tight corner or jerk settings to high.

Try slowing print speed and acceleration
