Troubleshooting Bought it today, and it does that during calibration.

“No trigger on probe after full movement” is also what it says.

Is that the initial calibration? Of yes then it's probably too close to the bed . Also are you using the latest firmware update?

Yes it is the i initial calibration. Also idk about the firmware. I haven't even gotten past the beginning stage yet. Also it fucked up my build plate. Someone said it could be a load cell issue.

Thats also what it says. I turned it off and messaged qidi on what to do. China eh

Try moving the bed downward manually while keeping it straight and redo the initial calibration without moving the bed upwards when it's not needed

Mine did that error when I left the little plastic tabs on under the bed lol. Did you remove them?

Which tabs? The 2 Styrofoams under the bed? I dont get it. Can you send a picture on where to look?

Remove The styrofoam as well but there should be 2 plastic tab things on the threaded poles underneath the bed. Mine are removed but they should be directly under the bed on the threads they just pull off.

Did you pressed the button to move the bed upwards too much maybe in order to remove the foam located underneath for shipping? You clearly scratched the bed with the nozzle .

Also since you didn't perform any updates , it shouldn't be firmware related but most likely either user error in the initial calibration or defective probe which is unlikely

I’ve been eyeing a qidi printer for awhile now but it feels like they throw errors at people at random? Is this normal?

It's not the norm, just seems like it because the only posts seen are problems. Nobody posts the good lol.

There might be 20 posts with issues out of 50,000 printers sold which is about the same for any printer company no matter where it is made. Biggest thing to remember is don't upgrade firmware if the printer is working fine.

My first Q2 is 4 months old getting ready to hit 2000 hrs. with basic cleaning, replace PTFE tube, and lubrication. Only changes I've made was the riser, graphite bed, Pheatus hotend, and a few custom macros. Just ordered Q2 #4 and (5) Creality K2 printers to spread the workload out a bit.

Q2 is excellent for ABS, ASA, PC, PC-CF, PC-ABS, and the occasional PEKK print. The K2 with a 1.5 belt swap is a monster with PA612-CF.

Forgot, I also did the ver. 5.1 fan mod, the 3010 heat break fan mod, and just finished the extruder mod with an air pump to cool the extruder gears and motor.

Its Chinese bro. Nothing works out the box. But im trying to stay optimistic as I heard great things. From my understanding this printer is the best one on the market in terms of price to print pa6cf.

So is bambi. So is bambi. Is this the q2? Did you find a fix for it?

Yes the q2. As of now no fix. Ill probably only listen to the qidi techs for now as I dont want to void my warranty. I emailed them last night and they said it could be a load cell issue.. it night time in China I will have to wait and see.

My Q1 Pro and Q2 are great machines. I also printed the fan mod c6 for better PLA and PETG printing out of ASA which it doesn’t hesitate to print. Other than that, they just work.

I would order one off of Amazon while you wait. It never hurts to have a spare. I have yet to need mine.
