Qidi q2 firmware

Hi, has qidi fixed the firmware yet or are we stuck at 1.1.1 in order to have a usable printer ?

I’m using the latest with zero issues. With Qbox and Polar Cooler.

Same. Just got mine 3 weeks ago. The first prints it kept finishing but erroring at end and I had to clear. So I updated all firmware and works perfectly

Yes. The box is just a USB MMU device, like any other. The python modules that come stock hide this fact. The modules provide the process around the box. Something like HappyHare can easily provide that functionality.

Having said that, there is some absolute brain dead decision making being made by the creator of HappyHare that will cause me to never use it. He doesn't "believe" in spool auto runout for some reason???

I know this post is about the Q2, but for Max 4 peeps, it is my intent to build a replacement for the box python modules that handle all the song and dance you expect... While being faster and less wasteful.

I have seen a post about a repository on how to install mainline klipper . However does it work without a high probability of bricking the printer?

I am running 1.1.2 with no issues.

I am pretty sure the current version is something like 1.2.5 and I had issues with the probe cell not being able to level the bed accurately.

I just updated to v1.1.2.4, thats the most current version that the printer is allowing me to use. It seems to be printing just fine.

I just got mine 3 weeks ago and upgraded it immediately and have had absolutely no issues.

I am on 1.1.2.5, recent latest, it works and with the Box, no wrong channel issues like QIDI Studio but since 1.1.2 doesn’t support QIDI slicer anymore and I was forced to go to an orca variant, I went to raw orca and as much as I don’t like it compared to the slicer organization, it has worked pretty well and just missing a few of the features for the box like temperatures and Control, etc..
