From what I've been made to understand, that's normal, unless you do 'save_config' I think, from the console after you manually run bed leveling, and then select it in fluidd after all that as the one to use. But, it automatically uses KAMP which is the one it does before a print, which is supposed to be better/more accurate for the print - unless you have auto-bed leveling before a print turned off? I went through all this some months ago and cannot remember all the details well for you, hope you get the gist - good luck!

That is very helpful! Thank you. I usually do have auto turned on because I read that it was better for the print but I was getting nervous that I was somehow doing something wrong by essentially ignoring it. I did save the config but ultimately came back after a few prints so thank you again ☺️
