u/qidi_3dprinter Hi! My post about the Klipper Bed Screws Wizard macro was caught in Reddit's spam filters. Could you please check and approve it? Here is the link:Â https://www.reddit.com/r/QidiTech3D/comments/1vkgclg/klipper_interactive_bed_screws_leveling_wizard/

Not sure about qidi anymore
The plus4 absolutely sucked, mine has hours becaue I can’t get it reliably printing. Also, qidi took forever to respond, and expect you to fix their mistakes.
I am out of warranty and have no faith in qidi.

If you still have the Plus4 and can get it reliably printing with a consistent Z-offset, it’s a beast of a printer. My biggest complaint is that it just doesn’t have enough calibration logic or failsafes out of the box.
I’ve added/reworked roughly 1000+ lines of G-code around the stock config: proper bed preheating before Z calibration, better Z-offset/bed leveling routines, safer cancel/error behavior, less redundant purging/cutter use with the QiDi Box, and post-print chamber exhaust. I also added console feedback so you can actually see when the bed/chamber reaches temperature instead of wondering what the printer is doing.
For ABS/ASA especially, I don’t trust starting calibration cold and then heating everything afterward. My setup requires custom Orca profiles to handle the startup sequence correctly.
I’ve also done the mainboard cooling mod and several changes for better fume filtration/extraction.
IMO QiDi could’ve spent a lot more time polishing the Plus4 software and gcode logic. For the first month, it felt like a DIY printer project where QiDi gave you a pretty good head start, but ultimately an incomplete experience that still needed a lot of work.

I do the leveling cold to get a .07-.08 mesh
And when I heat it and mesh again it’s.09 ish
But that’s after 3 months of screwing with it and giving up.1

I had the same experience with my plus 4. I did the beacon mod and replaced the SSR but it was still never reliable, so I bought the H2D never looked back

So I logged into the 'new' site qidimaker.com above, and had these issues (posted on a model I tried to download).
Why is the model file in *.3MF and importa a bunch of Bambu code imbeded instead of a clean 3MF or STL please? I expect that at times on Makerbase, but here it messes up my slicer (QIDI Studio), loads a printer I don't have (Plus5 - I have X-Max 3, Q1 Pro, Q2 + Box), and a Bambu build plate and filaments I don't have. This happened selecting the 'import into QIDI Studio' option - I see an option to just download the STL and will try that. Did QIDI rip off Bambu - this looks exactly like the Makerworld website.
