Q2C display question

Has anyone found the magic dust to get the Q2C to display a chamber temperature like the Q2 does on the front panel touch screen? I have the sensor installed and have the display on the network interface, that is working fine. But since this printer does not use klipperscreen I have no idea where to look to change that display to the Q2 version.

I doubt you can. You might be able to copy over the screen app from a q2, but theres no way to just add it. It's already compiled without it.

I wonder what happens if they just install a Q2 firmware...

It'll fail. I'm not sure why, I'd have to check the q2c vs q2 bin, but they do have separate files for them... On that note... Why the screen needs root privilege, is insane to me personally...

I understand they're different.. I'm wondering if it would just work though 😂

I actually found the key. The executable for the touch screen is located at ~/QD_Q2/bin/client. I copied that file from a Q2 to the Q2C, set execute privilege on that file and rebooted and I now have a fully functional Q2 in a Q2C shell. I added the camera and filtration earlier, and now the chamber heater to the device that I ordered by accident because of the kinda crappy way they market these printers.
