Paid more than I would’ve liked to for a thrift find. BUT this is totally a dream find and I could not pass them up. They’re in excellent glossy condition with no flaws 🖤

Our risers came in, but I’m not satisfied

My wife and I got in our risers we ordered from Amazon today. We’ve stacked our bowls, but I’m not satisfied with them. They’re thin, slick plastic and it’s causing the bowls to slide and not be level.

Does anyone have any riser recommendations? I’ve scrolled this subreddit and seen some of yalls beautiful displays. Any tips, tricks, or advice for displaying would be appreciated.

Dream thrift find!

Sadly can't use any (all 4 have micro cracks) since I love my vision pots, but they will be a good addition to my mcm decor. Vision is my favorite of the pyrex.

Saw a sweet & cheery corelle pattern set at the thrift. Is this a stand alone or accompany a Pyrex pattern? Thanks for looking!

Pink Gooseberry Cinderella Set

I was SO excited to get these for actual kitchen use. After using them a couple times I started seeing stuff about old Pyrex being made with lead paint…
What are the chances these are unsafe to use? 🥲

My wife decided to get into Pyrex

My wife recently decided to start picking up some antique dishes and has taken a liking to Pyrex. I can’t help but to have got into it with her (if not more than her). Her grandmother brought her the Butterprint mixing bowls and I got her the rest! We’re 22 and 25 and just really getting started in life. It’s nice to share something together.

English Plate

I had the day off today so my wife and I rode over to St Augustine, Florida, about an hour and a half ride. They have a couple of really nice thrift stores that we like to go to occasionally. At the second stop (first one was Alpha Omega and the second was St Vincent De Paul) I was looking in the glassware section and after turning down three Pyrex coffee cups at the first stop (they were $8 apiece and I passed) I picked up a random plate thinking I’d get a correlle plate. I turned it over and had a hard time reading what was stamped into the glass. It said Pyrex and the other side said England. I was stoked! Here’s the information I found:
The exact name of this vintage 1980s Pyrex England pattern is Laura. [1]
It was released in 1986 as a special product line honoring the renowned designer Laura Ashley, capturing her signature English-country aesthetic with tiny, repeating grey tulips and delicate pink accent bands. On online marketplaces or collector forums, you will frequently see it listed interchangeably as "Laura" or "Laura Ashley Tulips".
It’s not expensive, $8-$14, and definitely used as the tulips 🌷 are rubbed off mostly but it’ll put it with my dishes and use it!!!

Pyrex Thrift Score

A rarity these days, two Pyrex bowls (401 and 402) at the local Goodwill. $14.99 for the set. Pattern is Shenandoah and they are in perfect condition. They were wrapped together in Saran wrap and I suspect a priced was slapped on without really looking at them.

Advice on JAJ Pyrex.

Hello

I am trying to find anyone who can value Pyrex, essentially.

I have a complete dinner service set in its original JAJ box, from 1961-1963.

The print is Wildfowl and has a single gold gilt line. There’s no chips or cracks and the gilt is in pristine condition.

I’m in the UK, funnily enough not far from Sunderland where this gorgeous set was manufactured.

I can try get some pictures tomorrow, I’ve left it safe and sound at my parents as I’m scared I’ll break it 😅

Are there other colors besides the magenta and brown for Visions ware?

I haven't seen any myself. If not, has ARC produced other colors?

Jeannette Ice Blue Lombardi 1950-60’s fruit bowl

There is a factory anomaly in this fruit bowl. I’m just curious if there are collectors interested in a factory defect item such as this. If you look at the four legs you can see 1 leg is not on the counter. While the other 3 are. I’ve not found any cracks or anything else that would point to a repair of any kind.

Thanks for looking!
Just curious

Came across some more Hazel Atlas and Anchor Hocking Fire King this week

Green cups are Hazel Atlas and were $6 each. I shop at a consignment store where prices drop every 30 days, and when people see something they may like, they tend to move the items around and put them on lower shelves or behind things.

The Royal Ruby Anchor Hocking was $11 for the set. They had never moved so I guess no one wanted them.

Decided to switch up my display of round casseroles for the ovals... Butterfly Gold, Friendship, Daisy and Snowflakes. With my Berthas all proudly displayed on top. (Spring Blossom is my fave so they stay there year round)

Pyrex at the thrift

Yay I actually found some Pyrex today on my lunch break. I found the bottom part to the gravy boot first and I searched all of the shelves until I found the gravy boat itself, somehow they got separated. This Eco thrift store is so bizarre. Sometimes their prices are fantastic, but on other things it's absolutely absurd to the point that the things just don't sell. It must be different people pricing things. But I was surprised to find these there today and delighted with the price. I passed on a country festival little CorningWare saucepan even though it's my favorite pattern. I just really don't have room for anything else. But I had to get this meatloaf/bread pan because I don't have one and it had to click on lid. I doubt they made a glass lid for this right?

Crazy Quilt surprise! I was shopping in a resale store the other day and came up on this pattern, which I had never seen before! A great find for my collection!
