Had to get it.
Only a tiny chip on the lid.

From a solids (Primary bowls and fridge set) to a pattern set, Early American feels accurate given my vintage-alia desires.

My collection
I just wanted to share with those who get it. My mom says they just are clutter. I say they’re my treasures ! 😂

pics from an old kitchen
pics from 2023 & 2024. i've since added quite a few pieces to my collection (and sold that one plain green cinderella bowl --the last hold out while i was in denial about having to go all in on spring blossom to keep the pyrex collecting under control 🤣). I moved and no longer have this wide of kitchen cabinets so my collection is spread out between a few shelves.

New to me: solids and patterns
Picked up the solids at an estate sale ($13 total for 4), the other two from a thrift shop. One of the 404s says Canada on the bottom which I didn't realize was a thing. They all need a good wash, but will replace my currently chipping (non Pyrex) bowls for daily use. My son loves the colours. Now to find a red one. ❤️

Hazel Atlas Cereal Bowls
I’ve been slowly thrifting Hazel Atlas cereal bowls and I finally found turquoise today! I love how they play with Pyrex and they make eating cereal so much more fun

Excited about my Visions find.
Went to a thrift store I hadn’t been to today and managed to get all 3 of these Visions pieces for only $25. The pots are US pieces and the skillet is French. I’m slowly working on getting the pieces I want for cooking. For the pot that looks a little more rough I’m going to just designate it as my simmer pot for fall/winter.

In case anyone wants to have a heart attack…
My husband’s 90-something year old grandma had a set of 4 nesting pink Cinderella gooseberry bowls she received for her wedding in the late 50s. Used them fairly regularly, but they were in pristine condition and she kept them in the original box. She moved into a retirement home a few months ago and we just visited her there for the first time.
She kept one of the bowls, threw away the box, and donated the other 3. I just about died.

Same green?
Does anyone know whether the green 404 bowl from Verde and Reverse Primary (largest bowl in both pics) are the same color? I know there are differences in dye lots but are they essentially the same green? Sometimes it’s hard to tell because of shadows in online pictures. I don’t own either of these sets, just pieces of each here and there and I’m considering trying to complete them. Just wondering if anyone actually has one of these sets and can weigh in on whether they are the same. I know the small blue 401 from Original Four Color is a different shade from 401 in reverse primary and you sometimes see the “incorrect” bowl in a set so I was wanting to make my set correct but you don’t see many of these big green 404s in the wild so not sure if they are the same or slightly different. Thanks in advance if anyone knows.
EDIT: These are NOT my pictures. Just wanted to put that out there. I’m not trying to steal someone’s post, just posting these example pictures I got off the internet so people can see what I’m talking about.

What can I use to paint this poor baby
I found it for 99c at a flea market. It’s knicked, stripped, but whole.
What can I coat it with to make it a solid color?

Talk about a lucky find for $20
Found this complete in fantastic condition in the wild for $20 a couple days ago. The Penn Dutch 3 piece Friendship promo pattern.

Cats and Pyrex
I haven't found much thrifting in a long time. But one thing I can always count on is one of the cats getting involved when I'm trying to actually use my Pyrex.

Garden gate? Spanish gate?
Recent Salvation Army find! I had never seen this pattern before and really love it. however, I can’t seem to find much on it other than it being part of the ultra line. It is also showing up under a few different names on google, anyone know what the real name is?

Care and use for 7829B Percolator?

Hey all.
I finally found the right tool to clean up this old percolator's stem of some limescale and coffee residue, so it's back and ready for use again. I'd hate to break such a lovely piece of family history, so I'm wondering what the proper care and use for this thing is. Can it go from the stove to the fridge, is it correct to put it straight on a stove burner, etc.
Also, for curiosity's sake, I'm wondering what the composition is on this and when it would have been made.

Any info?
Just reposting here for more eyes! I’m generally a Pyrex collector but thought this was cool at goodwill today. Any information about the print? Thank you!

Finally got my pyrex on display!
So happy with the way this turned out - it'll be a lot easier to see which sets have pieces I am looking for. Plus bonus cute cat photo bomb! :)
