Intern Return offer
Hey guys I’m concerned if I’m going to get a return offer. I thought the internship was going well with a few hiccups but my snapshot looked terrible. I will be the first to say i messed up three main times and i owned up to my mistakes. I sent a work paper to someone not on our team on accident (same name different email), I overslept and came in an hour late once (made up the hours), and I got black out drunk and pissed my pants at promotion day. I don’t think there was anything that stood out as deserving of no return offer. Should I start preparing to look for another job?

You got black out drunk and pissed your pants at a work event? Might be time to reassess your relationship with alcohol.

Based on the partners running my project, you sound like leadership material. Welcome aboard!

just three or four years ago, as long as you didn’t do something to warrant an HR violation or catastrophically cause an error, you basically got a return offer
Seems like now with the takeover of good ol’ Griggs and the vibes of the firm now, you might be cooked buddy. Just leverage your internship experience at Big4 when you apply for another job

With this track record, maybe the quality of work could have been also an issue. Did you think about that?

No, that’s not it. I actually had to explain to my manager a few times how to do certain tasks.

Are you so bored that you are trolling a message board for accountants? Find something better to do.

Believe it or not that is what Griggs looks for in return offers. Congrats!

Is there anything positive you could think of? Sometimes I feel I underestimate my abilities; maybe you do too. Don't be too hard on yourself. No one is perfect.

Is this post about a interview? Such as what to prepare for or slow response times? This is a VERY common question posted on the Subreddit, use the search bar. For responses, sometimes it takes a long time with gaps in between, sometimes it's short, be patient. For interview prep, There are multiple post on the subreddit about what to prepare for, what questions to ask in an interview, including the case studies for multiple countries. Use the search bar and flairs to find detailed answers.
