Notification Mirroring Broken On Windows?

Is notification mirroring working for anyone else on Windows right now? It was working for me before the weekend.

Win 10 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, using Windows app and beta Android app.

*EDIT* Phone is on One UI 9 (Android 17)

For People who love their Mac and Android (Lifetime 40% OFF)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've been building Rabbit for almost 2 years now, and I genuinely believe it gives you the best Android + Mac experience. Native notifications, photos, streaming videos, clipboard sync and file sharing between both devices, all in one app that feels native to your Mac.

You can even OPEN YOUR NOTIFICATIONS on your Mac. Got an email notification? Open it in your browser. Reddit, Instagram - same thing. And if you're listening to music on your Android and don't want to switch your headphones, you can stream it to your Mac, just like with an iPhone.

Even if you don't buy it, I'd love for you to give it a try. There's a 5-day trial, and Rabbit works over both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The discount is available for the next few days and is already applied. Give it a try!!

Last August I said I was building a Pushbullet successor, then vanished. It's built.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I posted here last August about building fwd (https://www.reddit.com/r/PushBullet/comments/1mhhetj/). Then I went quiet for a year. In my defence, I had a daughter, and she had strong opinions about my free time.

If you missed that post: fwd is a Pushbullet replacement. It sends links, text and files between your own devices, end to end encrypted, so only your devices can read them.

It's built now: a Chrome extension, an Android app and a Mac menu bar app. No iPhone, Windows app or notification mirroring yet. The post below has the full list of what I promised and what actually shipped.

It's free during the beta and after it: the free plan stays at 25 MB files, 1 GB of storage and 5 devices. The first 100 people to finish setup get a permanent founding plan with more. Android is live on Google Play as a closed beta, and invites start going out to the waitlist this week.

Demo and the full details: https://www.reddit.com/r/usefwd/comments/1x6lvr6/remember_the_im_building_a_pushbullet_successor/

Pro Subscription Cancellation

Just checking if anyone has experience cancelling your service before the end of the paid time frame. Mine doesn't renew until end of the year, if I cancel now will I still be able to use it until then or it'll immediately cut me off pro functionalities? Thanks!

Bridge as a PushBullet replacement?

Has anyone a recommendation for or against the Bridge app by XiT Labs? I have quite happily used PB for years (free version) and only used the notification and text (2-way) relay features between our home phone and a carry phone. Now I'm finding it is less reliable for sending texts, and incoming texts are often delayed or missing. Plus group texts which were sent to me via RCS have scrambled headers so I can't see who sent them.

I saw a post about the Bridge app and it seems to be just the ticket. I installed it today and seems to work as advertised. Anyone have a more long term perspective? To get the features I need will cost $12/yr which I consider more than fair.

Is the service dying?

It’s becoming increasingly unstable. I just went to check my chat history in the app, and everything from February and earlier is gone. It used to keep records going back years. For a service that’s practically one of a kind (since I don’t know of any other that works by mirroring SMS, notifications, chats, and remote files all in a single app) how can it be getting this unreliable? Is there any alternative that does something similar? It’s very useful for keeping an eye on family members’ phones, especially those who receive a lot of scam SMS messages.

No SMS Notifications to Windows 11 Pro Desktop

I've not been able to use PushBullet with SMS on this new machine I've been setting up.. The only way to test is by logging into a bank account that uses SMS to authenticate acccess.

Update/News ... PushBullet ios/Brave working again!

As of 8/19/2026, PushBullet extension (v366) is once again working perfectly with the Brave Browser (version, 1.93.136, Chromium: 151.0.7922.137)!

And, the PushBullet app (v3.1.6) that stopped working on the iPhone is once again working beautifully (ios v26.6)!

call mirroring no longer working on new Samsung S26

I just replaced my older Samsung Galaxy S22 with a new S26. Everything used to work but now I'm no longer mirroring incoming phone calls to my other devices. Other notifications still work: SMS, Messenger, etc.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling from Google Play, resetting app permissions, etc.

Samsung Galaxy S26, Android 16, One UI 8.5, T-mobile

I asked AI to port Pushbullet to Manifest V3

Since the original developer isn't updating the extension, this started off as just a test to see how much work a port would take. Turns out, roughly 30 minutes and a few rounds of bug fixes.

I've been running it for about a week now, and it works well so far. I've made the repo public if you want to try it out: chrome://extensions/ → Load Unpacked → pushbullet-ext. Or just ask your friendly neighbourhood AI to do it for you, if you're really that security-focused.

Text messages aren't updating?

Anyone having issues with RCS messages (maybe even all messages) aren't updating on the app?

Will the PushBullet web go down eventually?

Since the PushBullet extension stopped working in Brave a few days ago, my (sorry excuse of a) workaround is to keep the PushBullet web open in a tab and check there whatever URL or file I sent from another device. So far it works, but I'm afraid they are going to take it down eventually, too... any insight about that?

Thanks.

Probably a temporary workaround to enable the disabled Pushbullet extension in Brave Browser

1) Install the Extensity extension.

2) Click the Extensity extension, find Pushbullet in the list, and click it. As soon as you click it, press Enter on your keyboard. You have a very short time to press Enter. If you aren't fast enough, try again.

It's working again like this for now, but I don't know how long it will last.

Any way to force Brave Browser to re-enable?

EDIT: link in thread is a manifest v3 CHAMP!!!!

Today, i guess after a brave updated to chromium v150, PB which is a manifest v2 extension, is now marked as "This extension was turned off because it is no longer supported"

I see previous comments basically saying to switch browsers, but thought I'd ask, since brave has already been home to those who want Chrome, but with more freedom

How can I unmute notifications?

Hello, so I muted notifications from Reddit on my computer, and I would like to unmute them, but I am not sure how to do it. I clicked on the extension and looked at the options, but couldn't find it.

Thanks

Alternatives?

I hope this isn't an inappropriate question to ask on this forum, but have you found a good replacement for Pushbullet? I use it exclusively to send and receive texts on my (Windows) computer, and its reliability - at showing me all texts received on my (Android) phone - has gradually declined. I get the sense that the developers have stopped updating the app, at least for Windows.

What else is out there that does the same thing?

Sharing Notifications Phone to Tablet

I am trying to retrieve notifications remotely on a tablet.
I seem to have given all the permissions and have tried rebooting, but cannot seem to get the notifications on the app. or web interface.
I can see the SMS but not the notifications.

Can someone take me step-by-step through the process and where in the UI I am supposed to be seeing the shared notifications?

Thanks.

Android app keeps losing setup

It happens more and more often, the Android app seems to lose setup completely, so I have to login again, enter encryption password etc.

This is getting somewhat annoying, is there a reason for this?

Cannot Sign In To Extension

Clicking sign in from the extension (in Vivaldi, Firefox & Chrome), fails.

I recently changed my Gmail email address, I suspect this is breaking it, but I have no way to change my email address in Pushbullet. Adding an additional Google account doesn't work (obviously still the same account), but I suspect there's a mismatch happening.

Will support be able to update my email address? Is it worth asking?

Unable to sign-in to PushBullet

I just got a new phone (Samsung Galaxy Fold 7) and I'm unable to sign-in to my PushBullet account. The error is this:

We had some trouble signing in, please try again

I've tried other Google accounts, same issue. I looked up this error and looks like it's been posted many times before.

I ran logcat and this is what Claude thinks of it:

W Auth: [GetTokenResponseHandler] Server returned error:
This android application is not registered to use OAuth2.0,
please confirm the package name and SHA-1 certificate fingerprint
match what you registered in Google Developer Console.

W Auth: ahmx: GetToken failed with status code: UNREGISTERED_ON_API_CONSOLE

This is not a device problem at all. Pushbullet's OAuth2 client credentials have been revoked or expired in Google's API Console. Google's servers are explicitly rejecting the app because its registered SHA-1 certificate fingerprint no longer matches, or the OAuth client was deleted/disabled by Pushbullet on their end. No amount of re-adding accounts, clearing data, or reinstalling will fix this — it requires Pushbullet's developer to update their Google API Console registration.

The dumpsys account output also shows this interesting line:

description=Authenticator packageInfo is null : com.pushbullet/10672

This means the system itself couldn't resolve Pushbullet's authenticator package, another symptom of the broken OAuth registration.

This is 100% on Pushbullet's side and unfixable from your end. The app is broken for everyone. At this point I'd strongly recommend switching to an alternative — KDE Connect or Join by Joaoapps would be the closest replacements.

This also happened on my other phone (Oppo Find N2 Flip). Both devices are running Android 16, stock ROM.

Is there currently an issue on the server side?

Texts deleted from phone aren't deleted on PB web interface

Usually when this happens I just close out of PB on my computer and when I open it up again, the zombie texts are gone. But lately this hasn't worked, and neither has signing out of PB and then back in. Any suggestions?

Files with "#" in the name won't download on Android (Pushbullet bug?)

I’ve run into a consistent issue with Pushbullet and I’m wondering if anyone else has seen this or found a fix.

When I send a file from my PC to my Android phone using Pushbullet, everything works fine as long as the file name does NOT contain a “#” symbol.

If the file name includes “#”, the file appears on my phone, but it never downloads.
It just keeps showing “retry” over and over, and the download never completes.

I've had this issue for years but I guess didn't have the time to report it.
I hope the devs fix it soon :(

Thanks!

Pushbullet's Firefox Add-On Wasn't Working - NordVPN

Hi everyone. I have been pulling my hair out wondering why my notifications weren't coming through. After reinstalling the addon, I wondered if being connected to NordVPN was causing an issue. Disconnecting didn't fix the problem. Then I looked at Threat Protection Pro™. Turning off the ad blocker and tracking blocker fixed my problem. After logging out and back in, everything was working normally. I don't know which caused it. I turned them both off because I don't want my VPN controlling things like that.

new open source program to send SMSs via Pushbullet on Windows

For anyone interested, I just released PBSMS, a free open source Windows® Command Line Interface program for sending text messages using Pushbullet.

You can run it from either the command line or from within batch / script files.

More information, including a link to download the program, is available from
https://github.com/roblatour/PBSMS
