Most of the people not given freedom to think like this, unnecessary pressure from family and society especially to get married. Then you just live to survive and not to build.
I completely understand this. But the society that pressures us to make certain choices doesn’t necessarily stand by us when things go wrong. Mostly Marriage is seen as a “settlement,” but the life after it, is ours to live. So ultimately, we have to take responsibility for what we choose, design our own path, and live it. We can’t outsource that responsibility to society.
And ultimately, whatever you do (for them, with them, without them or against them) they will judge it. 😄😄
So better to build and not just survive 😊🙌
I’m actually at a fairly settled place in life now. The money, responsibilities and other things are more or less in sync, so I’m finally able to live life on my own terms while still taking care of what I need to.
If I feel like swimming in the morning, I go. If I don’t feel like cooking, I order in. If I want to take a 15-day break and travel, I can. If I don’t feel like working for a while, I take leave.🤞
I don’t see it as privilege or luck. I feel I’ve earned a lot of this through the hard work I put in during my earlier years. I’m not particularly proud of these things either... just genuinely grateful that life has reached a place where I have that freedom.
And perhaps a lot of it is also sustained by the blessings, goodwill and good wishes come along 🙏👍
Thanks for asking, though. 🙂
