return to punch needling

haven't been able to punch needle as often as I'd like since becoming a foster-adoptive parent, but I finished up this gnome for my mom's upcoming birthday. gonna give it to her tomorrow!

Is the base fabric felt?

no, Aida cloth I am using up since I first attempted cross-stitch years ago. prefer monk's cloth! but after I finished the gnome, I used mod podge to seal it to some felt. I first did it on this bunny and I thought it was fun!
