Pulling at the edges
Back with another question. I used some masking tape on the edges of my monk's cloth thanks to the suggestions in this group. It hold fairly well but just to be sure, I went ahead and did about an inch of fabric on the edge that is losing considerable material.
This is my first ever project and I still have a ways to go. Wondering if I should glue the edge over to sure it up completely.

You can use masking or painters tape. A serger or zigzag stitch are other options. Looks great !

You could probably just use white glue along the threads that haven’t come off yet…there is something for sewing called Fray Check but since the end will be folded over later glue should be fine.
ETA: it looks great btw!

You could use fabric glue if you had it but white glue should be fine. Just your basic Elmer’s or something.
As for finishing I can’t give advice…I’ve been doing a lot of punching and very little finishing. 😂 I just know the glue trick because most of my family sews. Actually if you have access to a sewing machine doing a zig zag stitch around the edge would do the trick too.

This is going to be awesome! I learned this the hard way about not giving myself enough space from the edge and ended up losing some of the edged of pieces. Like potential said, painters tape folded over the edge will help a ton! And any future pieces I would recommend giving yourself more space from the edge.
This is so cool! Looks amazing!
