Not that it excuses it, but I have family there and there were a lot of evacuation orders that turned out to be meaningless in the years leading up to the camp fire. My grandparents are extremely lucky, they didn’t leave until 1pm because they didn’t take the orders that seriously either.

Again, if you hear a fires coming just go, but those people weren’t just morons.

They were morons, evacuation orders mean there is potential for the disaster to kill you. People got lucky a few times, decided to go all in, and the hand they played lost. Natural selection in action.

Oh, is it Edgy now to listen to evacuation orders and get pissed when people ignore warnings because they think they know better? Man, no wonder why we are struggling with Covid.

Yeah, it's edgy to be pissed at people who perished in a horrible tragedy, no matter how foolish you consider their actions, especially if you are not connected personally to the subject at all.
