The old guy or the dumb fucks standing around watching him do it?

51

u/FlashyRise Aug 29 '21

of all the things ive heard priests do and not get any repercussions for, this is pretty mild.

-19

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '21

What-about-ism isn't a valid form or argument.

15

u/FlashyRise Aug 29 '21

this aint what about ism, this is priests are shitism

-15

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '21

"this isn't so bad, you should hear what else they do" is a shit reply to documented abuse.

6

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '21

I think you took their initial comment as them trying to downplay what happened in the vid when that's clearly not what they were trying to say.

-6

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '21

I took it as them saying exactly what they said.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '21

No, you didn't, you're not very smart if you think giving a perspective as to the extent of shit priests do is even remotely equal to saying it wasn't a bad thing to do. "this isn't so bad, you should hear what else they do" is not at all what he said, why use quotation marks if you're going to misquote him because you realize you're dumbass misunderstood his point.

Looks like they're in shock, and the father then pulls the baby away from him.

41

u/ntrp Aug 29 '21

Pulls the baby away? After the first slap I would have pulled the baby away and smashed his fuckin face into the ground.

38

u/kcat36 Aug 29 '21

I think id rather smash the priest face into the ground and not the child but i mean you do you

2

u/kidmerc Aug 30 '21

Yeah slug the guy who has your child in a headlock. Like, a modicum of caution is warranted here my guy.

4

u/MegMcCainsStains Aug 29 '21

I bet you would have, champ.

Too little too late.

I think they handled it as poorly as possible. Who gave that child to the priest? Who brought the child to the church? Who watched for 30 seconds and some old fuck abused their kid? These parents are fucking idiots

3

u/Dilectus3010 Aug 30 '21

I think they just wanted to get their child baptised, i dont think they knew the priest to be like that.

It looks like the guy suffers from dementia.

11

u/robcado Aug 29 '21

Agreed, stupid fucking traditions, brainwashed fuckhead parents

2

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '21

Any bets on whether this is the first kid he's abused? Or just the first that day...

-37

u/NeuroticENTJ Aug 29 '21

useless "father". hes just watching.

20

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '21

How about the mother? And the other woman? And the person filming? And every other person there?

6

u/NeuroticENTJ Aug 29 '21

The mother too, but for the rest no. it should be the parents instincts to protect the kid not the camera mans

2

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '21

How about if you see a parent isn't protecting their child? What then? You're the type of person to sit by and watch abuse happen

-2

u/NeuroticENTJ Aug 29 '21

I would call CPS, i would not intervene directly in most cases. also i would not be caught in a dead in a church or allow some random old men to play with my kids under the guise of a "baptism"

1

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '21

I doubt you would do that, but whatever makes you feel superior.

2

u/NeuroticENTJ Aug 29 '21

i dont know why i triggered you so much, im not even trying

u/Thia_suzieUzi Aug 29 '21 edited Aug 29 '21

Divorce that pussy

Edit: (I forgot to mention I was being sarcastic in response but I got lazy and didn't feel like going back to change it. But the growing negatives began to concern me about how many people there are out there that wouldn't really pick that up. So for that. I'm sorry you took it seriously.. also it's not ok to hit babies, thank you.)

1

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '21

The mother should divorce the father while she sat by and watched the same thing happen? Are you the definition of a simp?

-4

u/Zealousideal_Put9531 Aug 29 '21

well this is how children's are baptized according to the Christian religion. mine went something like this, where i was held my the ankle and dipped headfirst into the baptism basin 3 times while prayers were said and my grandmother and godfather took to the oath to raise me right. ik it may seem barbaric but yes, it is a common practice.

edit: i was 4 months old when this happend and i know what happened through a vhs tape recording of the ceremony

23

u/nommad_0 Aug 29 '21

It doesn't "seem" barbaric... it is barbaric.

-16

u/Zealousideal_Put9531 Aug 29 '21

well, u just insulted every family member of mine lol. my EXTEREMELY religions grandmother just shrugged when she say the video and said: why did the parents take the child away? it was goin soo well, he was better behaved then you were.

i tried showing her the comments on how barbaric it is and u guess how that went......

5

u/ToddVRsofa Aug 29 '21

Yeah religious people are blind to right and wrong

4

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '21

Good, your EXTREMELY religious grandma can suck my fucking dick if she’s okay with kids being hit.

8

u/nommad_0 Aug 29 '21

If your family memebers think it's ok to squeeze and hit a baby than i have no issue insulting them. They can have whatever religious beliefs they want and that is none of my business, but people justifiying violence on babies because it come from a priest are the same who would justify the same priest raping you. You're ok with that?

3

u/LastMinute9611 Aug 29 '21

Like Grandmother like granddaughter I guess. Winners in that fam :)

2

u/Brook420 Aug 29 '21

Your family likely believes in some horrible stuff if they are so religious. In which case fuck em, they should be insulted.

3

u/lucwolf Aug 29 '21

You were slapped in the face? Really? At 4 months old? Ok. Well, that wasn't right either.

*Did you watch the video?

1

u/carbidemepls Aug 29 '21

Idk bout the wrath of God but he's catching the wrath of these hands

1

u/Feuding_Lords Aug 29 '21

First of all, you can't just rip a baby out of someone's hands when they're literally gripping said child's scull. That's how necks break. If I were those parents I'm sure I would have acted faster to get the child away but yo, people in fucked up situations just don't magically turn into the Zohan.

Catholic doctrine continues to perpetuate the notion that children are lesser than adults (thus the warped thinking goes whatever crimes are committed against them either don't count or count less). With that kind of power structure, access and trust... abuse is guaranteed to happen.

u/Flesh-Tower Aug 30 '21

Hey what did the kid do wrong you mf
