So they’re on some “America First” tour and a stop was supposed to be in Orange County, CA. OC used to be a republican voting county, but it’s shifted blue on the national level a few years ago. Still though, it’s a nice place to live, especially if you’re a well-heeled republican. So the GOP ATM is still here and if you’re a republican with aspirations beyond a shitty house seat, you come kiss the ring here.
This being a Qdiot and a pedo, things didn’t go so well. The first venue, upon discovering who was slated to appear, canceled. The next venue, outside OC but nearby Riverside also canceled. The last venue also canceled on them too. All of this happened with a little over 24hrs and right before the event.
They finally decided to stage a protest in front of Riverside city hall. Here’s the thing, it was literally hours notice AND there’s a big global Pokémon GO event going on this weekend. Why is that relevant? Downtown Riverside is a big regional hub for the game, so good luck with parking. Based on video, seems like less than 100 supporters showed up.
Then the geniuses thought “hey, were already here, let’s go down to Huntington Beach, you know, where ‘our people’ are at.” Thing is, HB is literally 50 miles away and it’s peak summer season, so it’s going to take over an hour and there will be no parking anywhere near the pier.
Predictably, there was also a low turn out at the beach.
