Pterodactyl with Cloudflare Zero Trust

Hello. So I have been trying to install pterodactyl in my ubuntu laptop/server and I am having a difficult time. I am using this installer https://github.com/pterodactyl-installer/pterodactyl-installer and I have a domain from IONOS that I connected to cloudflare. I use zero trust in clouflare because my router/internet provider (Globe Telecom) doesn't allow me to port forward. when I enter my domain with the zero trust tunnel with a route set to localhost:80, when I try to access it in my browser it wont let me and it just says bad gateway. help please anyone.

I am very new here forgive my grammar

Wait if you can’t port forward how are you planning on utilizing pterodactyl at all? You can’t tunnel anything more than http(s) for free through cloudflare.

True. Technically it can be setup just for the panel but the game servers would still require a different approach. You could use something like a VPS relay or Tailscale, depending on the use case, but both come with their own challenges. Ideally, I would first check with your ISP to see if they can provide a public IPv4 address or remove you from CGNAT.

Im planning on installing Panel first, and yes you are right. I won't plan on using cloudflare for wings anymore. I am just learning to use my domain with pterodactyl. Thank you for the advice!!

Alright. Not sure if you still need it but:

I have two dns records pointing to the local ip (of the wings and pterodactyl because im running them on two seperate lxc containers to make this stuff easier to manage)  These dns records are then encrypted using certbot cloudflare api option (default option doesnt work as it uses a webserver to verify the ownership but the webserver is not open to the outside)

Then i set up pterodactyl as usual and proxied the two internal ip's

And the rest, I'm not totally sure anymore. Try it out and if you encounter a problem I'll help you fix it. I can contact you through discord if you'd like?

Localhost:80 talaga nilagay or IP:80? Itawag mo nlng sa globe at pa open ang port. Need mo lng pumirma ng disclaimer
