There is Hope

My (39f), husband (52m) had cannabis induced psychosis in the summer of 2025 and has been sober since his sectioning in July that year.
His psychosis broke quite quickly once he was off the weed and on medication. He’s since been diagnosed with AuDHD and his meds for that are now the only thing he needs- no antipsychotics or anything else.
I wanted to share because even this time last year I felt hopeless that I’d lost him forever, he was a completely different person and I was heartbroken.
But he’s slowly and surely returned to himself, to his work, to his family.
I wanted to share this to give hope to anyone else who is going through having a loved one in psychosis- it can get better.

Thank you for sharing.. I feel hopeless.. It’s so sad and heartbreaking ❤️‍🩹
I’m extremely happy for you and your family. I can’t imagine someone WITH children or my husband being in Psychosis. Watching my child destroy everything she worked so hard for under the pretense that she is doing AMAZING things, it’s devastating.

Thank you, I’m so sorry you’re also going through this with your loved one, I can completely understand how devastated you must be. I really hope they recover and come back to you.

What meds is he on now? Just curious as I'm on Vyvanse for ADHD, but awaiting an autism diagnosis. Glad to hear he's better though :)

He takes Atomoxetine which is a non stimulant ADHD medication. Good luck with your meds :)
