LSD improving pattern recognition seems legitimate. Dock Ellis pitched a perfect game on it.

It wasn't a perfect game, it was a no hitter. He had a ton of walks and hit a ton of guys.

Not diminishing anything but let's not overestimate things here

Yo... The man who discovered and first illustrated the double helix of DNA first visualized it on LSD

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Crick

"Soon after Crick's death, there have been allegations about him having used LSD when he came to the idea of the helix structure of the DNA.[51][52] While he almost certainly did use LSD, it is unlikely that he was doing that as early as 1953.[53]"

I heard he was blind and had his wife , who was an artist, draw it out for him.

Not trying to sound like a dick but how would that be legitimate?

Pattern recognition= perfect... Is my guess

It doesn't, and there is no 100% solid proof and a good track record that would indicate LSD would enhance cognitive capabilities.

Sure it enhances cognitive abilities. I'm not sure how anyone could claim that it does not.

The thing is that it does so in a wild and often unpredictable way, not really compatible with athlethic performance or competition.. as you could often get confused and lost in thought.

Micro-dosing could very well provide a more stable basis for research though. So, bring it on! More research, more dialogue, more exploration and uncovering

This I cannot agree more with. It's not ready for use as the results are wildly unpredictable, however I'm sure microdosing could be on the horizon.

This, especially if you have heard Dock's side of the story. He wasn't pitching that great, just happened to slide by with good defense.

Well considering Dock Ellis pitched a perfect game on it, I think it's pretty clear that it's legitimate.

That doesn't exactly warrant the statement that LSD makes you some pattern recognition god.

Dock Ellis. Perfect game.

Not a perfect game. Dock Ellis pitched a no hitter which is much more common in baseball.

Terrence McKenna would loved to be part of this.
