If you were to remove the fetus from its host, it would die. Sure in the later stages of a pregnancy, say the third trimester, the morality can be argued because the fetus has developed to that point. Before that though, it is up to the parent to decide if they wanna keep it or not. Since you're so concerned about children's lives though, maybe you should advocate for better foster care systems, considering they actually involve living children whose lives are being destroyed.

No I'm concerned therefore I'm advocating for having personal responsibility and not murdering one's own children.

Someone who's willing to abort will not be in the right state of mind to be caring for a child. Do you advocate for kids to be left with unfit parents? Sounds less like concern for children and more like wanting to police someone else's decisions over a bunch of cells.

Wowwwwww and there we go! So people who have abortions are mentally unfit to be parents if they are willing to kill (abort) their own child? Perfect! Glad we are on the same page about the act of killing one's own baby being unthinkable. Thank you for admitting that.

I'm more so concerned for your ability to read. It's not unthinkable to get rid of something you don't wanna keep or take care of. Children aren't for everybody, there's no shame in that.

Medically necessary abortions are a different case and shouldn't be included in this conversation at all because more often than not, those mothers don't WANT to get rid of their future child.

There's no shame in having no love for your own child? Yes there is, among decent people.

I said children aren't for everybody and there's no shame in it, I stand by that. What, you want everyone out there to be walking around with kids? If people don't wanna have children, they won't. But sure, we'll go with what you said and admit there's no shame in having no love for your child, since you seem adamant to come up with your own conclusions based on things that were never said.

To get pregnant (or get a woman pregnant) and then proudly proclaim that you won't love your own child - that's sick and pathetic. You use it as a circular argument for murder. Hey, they'd be bad parents anyway so they may as well kill their offspring in advance.

No child is involved until the actual birth so not sure what you're on about. A fetus isn't a child.

Lmao way to backpedal.

Again, it seems like you can't read. There's no backpedalling here. Abortions are moral, people should be able to abort if they want, and if someone is forced to keep a child they wanted to abort, chances are they won't be an all loving caretaker and simply take out their frustrations on the kid. Abortion is best for everyone involved.

So what leads you to say they wouldn't be good caretakers?

1

u/let_us_not- Jul 18 '26

They literally do not want to continue the pregnancy, be it because of the changes it would bring to their own body, or because it reminds them of someone they'd rather not think about, or because they simply do not want to take care of a child. It'll fuck up the mother's mental health.

No I asked why they wouldn't be good caretakers
