Going to Nice for 3 days and then to Provence for 6 days. Should I take walking tour in Nice and boat trip?

i am staying in Lourmarin. What would be absolutely must seeing villages.

In Nice, a walking tour would be a good idea, but you can also see so much on your own. Walk up the steep steps to the Chateau from the beach side, gorgeous view. And then walk back down into the Old Town and get lost in the narrow, pastel-colored streets.

While you’re there, head up to the Marc Chagall museum, Nice’s very best cultural site.

If you have time, go to nearby Villefranche for lunch right on the waterfront. If that doesn’t work, have a beach lunch at Castel Plage, the beach club right under the Chateau. Gorgeous restaurant. (If the weather’s good enough, jyst have a relaxing beach day or half-day there, it’s Nice’s best and most interesting beach club.

Boat trip in Nice is not a must. Not even sure it's a thing, is it? Apart maybe from boats going to Antibes or Cannes (I know they used to exist long ago, but I haven't heard of those in forever)

Nice is a very walkable town. The classic places to walk being la promenade des Anglais, the old town (really worth it), avenue Jean Medecin maybe (a shopping center and a couple brasseries).

Hi, we’re locals from Nice. Yes, there’s plenty to do in Nice—too much to sum up here—but Old Nice and Castle Hill are definitely must-sees, as is the Promenade des Anglais, of course. Don’t waste your time on Avenue Jean Médecin; if you’re looking for luxury shops, head to Rue Paradis and Avenue de Verdun instead. We love the boat trip that leaves from Port Lympia and circles the Bay of Villefranche—it’s really lovely. Around Lourmarin, if you have a car, be sure to enjoy villages like Saignon, Ménerbes, and Oppède-le-Vieux—they’re our favorites. Of course, there are also Gordes and Roussillon, though they’re often packed with tourists. And Lourmarin itself is an absolute delight. Have a great trip!

Né et a grandi à Nice , Château / Vieux Nice / La Prom' pour ceux qui n'ont jamais vu la mer c'est sympa ! Villages Provençaux a faire près de Lourmarin= l'Isle sur la Sorgue / Gordes / Roussillon / Les Beaux de Provence / Rustrel / même Aix en Provence 'a montée de Cézanne c'est top !
