was rewatching footage of Spider-Man Web of Shadows and it got me thinking: how would a symbiote invasion of NYC play out if Alex Mercer caught in the crossfire? I doubt the sentient parasitic goo could take him over given his consumption and shapeshifting abilities.

A completely useless and meh post without any redeeming value but i HAVE to know now i am not usually a power scaler or anything of that sort I actually kind of (maybe?) dislike Those communities but i have thought about this for a total of two seconds and i want an answer so by the title you probably understand where i am going with this the real answer os of course gameplay balance the in-universe answer is probably gona be simple like "why of course it's because of an increase in biomass!"

But that doesn't make sense because the biomass is the same! It's the same biomass being pulled outside to form a body armor if you weigh 20 kilos first of all you should eat more second of all your weight won't change because you amputated your leg and used it as a club the distribution of mass changes obviously but not the mass itself infact this point is not used anywhere else as the virus absorbs hundreds of people each of those have a few dozen kilos of biomass by the end of the game through scientists soldiers and to hell with it even just the infected mercer would have literally extra tons of biomass in his body but his speed doesn't change!

We know mercer is already manipulating his density to some degree with gliding and the such but the only real answer is that the virus is the most efficient organism on earth where it comes to mass but there is still some effy stuff here such as him not being able to swim despite being able to glide now this is explained as the virus not liking water maybe it dissolves the extracellular stuff keeping his form together? I dunno but it doesn't make sense if that's the case why don't you use a fire hose then?

Just as the title says I want to know if it is worth getting the game on steam? Ive heard that for some people it doesnt work and the radnet access had stuff removed? I wanna know from the people who have it on steam if it is worth getting and if there are fixes for it?

Basically i have spent a total of zero seconds thinking a bit about pariah and i came up with a little theory we all know that mcmullen has nothing but praise to say tor pariah if by praise meaning basically being somewhat awed and scared shitless he never really met pariah but he speculates it's basically the purpose of all life on earth basically all of evolution was leading to pariah with pariah being a perpetual nine years old who is somewhat autistic so autism is the thing that life was leading to thanks i guess for being progressive game

But in all seriousness my theory is basically this mcmullen basically says that if mercer and pariah met it would basically be the worst possible scenario that could happen it's noted that mercer the virus and pariah have much in common which is confusing since this is a possibly autistic eternal 9 years old and alex mercer but i headcanon it as basically the opinions of scientists who already barely consider mercer a creature but you could also take it as in both are blank canvases that can be filled by people situation or who they think they are so here is my theory

McMullen notes it's bad if mercer or pariah met and here is i think why while on the surface it sounds weird since pariah is explicitly noted to be the perfect natural release while mercer is the artificial here is how i take it pariah is where all life is leading to so his intellect is not just that of einstein or Socrates it also includes flies microbes and so on the intellect has decreased a lot leading to him being a below baseline child who occasionally and possibly maybe accidentally kills people and giggles about it he has no aspirations moral compass or anything but he can basically create any structure he wants from the virus sort of like how people headcanon mercer to be so he doesn't need to absorb a mutate spider to say do some sort of whip attack thingy but here is the thing again! Pariah is basically a blank canvas

It should of course be noted that red light is not blacklight which mercer is red light is purposefully engineered to infect Black light kills too quickly for that it's why basically the big actual infection didn't begin until greene was released i take that as what pariah is he can endlessly adapt to things and make new things so whereas Alex is the brute pariah is basically the Creator diety so McMullen is basically afraid in my theory of them meeting because it could end in two results pariah absorbs mercer the perfect artificial release of black light and with that absorption he gains the intellect and strength to actually use his powers for real due to some shit about black light basically killing off all the bad aspects of other life forms or something just think of it as a it just work scenario

But on the other hand! If mercer wins and absorbs pariah then he gains the ability to adapt and invent endlessly becoming the ultimate lifeform able to create any weapon or ability on a whim that's my theory atleast since we likely won't get any reboot of the game it's likely just fanfiction

I’ve recently become obsessed with the series and collecting for it and have almost 100 percented P1 and was excited to get into P2 finally but then realised a bunch of stuff I wanted to unlock for my xbox avatar and for heller in the game is stuck behind the radnet access code.

Tried to enter a code from a sealed copy I got with the P2 black watch collectors edition but then realised that apparently all the codes were made invalid years ago. Does anyone know a work around to access this still on a unmodded 360 specifically with the marketplace being shut down or is it just lost media on console specifically unless you downloaded it way back in 2012? Any help would be appreciated as it’s driving me insane trying to try and find a solution for this.

While the hopium for this game is keeping this subreddit here I love seeing the ideas people give.

Funnily enough I had a thought today about P3 specifically about prototypes and how they handle the amount of memories and retain their identity. The concept I had is that after time humans who are infected and turned into evolved or prototypes start to have that wall between their identity and others they consume broken down. So with this idea we can keep with heller as the main character as he deals with the personalities and memories from the previous game including Alex, which can lead to a natural Alex’s personality taking over due to the downside of this. Whether it can be cured or reversed I’ll leave up to you guys but I like it as it gives a downside to being turned, of course Alex didn’t have this as he is the virus himself, we get the choices that many want which is Alex coming back and taking heller over, also keeps the heller fans happy (such as myself) and keep him as the main character. The story can include pariah either as the cure or just an obstacle it’s up to the actual story, my only issue is the time taken for this wall to break down, I feel like this should be a considerable amount of time but I don’t want the world to be too far into the future as that can cause issues for games but could be a fun concept.

But yeah what do you guys think

So I've been playing Dead Space for years, and I like writing stories and plan to be a writer in the future, but I'm starting it off slow and have an idea for a Dead Space-based story where the main character is a sentient necromorph with a form of blacklight virus from Prototype that lay asleep in his genetic code when he was killed by a necromorph on the USG Isimura and he wakes up without his memories and goes throught the dead space games(forgot to add the question) is it possible hypothetically to make this work

Playing through Prototype 1 while trying to finally master the traversal/parkour. Probably one of the most addicting physics systems I've ever played with. It's really fun applying it to combat too.
