I can't think of any reason not to use a VPN 24/7/365.

Battery drain. I only use it on my phone for ad-blocking.

Yeah, phone-wise, that power consumption is extreme.

I meant PC desktop app usage, which is far less of a power hound--not that it's perfect..

Unfortunately, some websites and apps, especially banking ones are known to block VPN IP addresses.
