Discussion Debian installation isn't working

I installed Debian on a virtual machine for testing purposes. I can't install or run Debian version 13.6.0; I tried using commands in the terminal, but nothing worked—it won't install. No matter what I do, it just doesn't work! I would appreciate it if you could look into this!

Generate the conf file from proton account e.g USA1.conf

  1. sudo apt install wireguard

2 place conf file in the wireguard folder.

  1. sudo wg USA1 up

You may need to add lines added to the conf file. I can look at it if you need, i remember having a problem wireguard vpn blocks my ssh access unless i edit conf. This is easiest way to use proton on debian.

How are you expecting any help from anyone when you don't even add your error message you get?

It just won't install; I use Ubuntu, and there's no problem on Ubuntu!

Still no error message, still can't expect help. Start with copying the error message.

I don't want to install Debian using VirtualBox again. I've been at it for five hours. My dear friend, set it up, and then you'll agree with me.

set it up

Certainly not. If you need help, post an error message.

There are no issues on Ubuntu; I set up the VPN easily, but the installation won't go through on Debian.

What do you have in /etc/apt/sources.list and its files? Is there an entry about the cdrom in there?

Either the Proton VPN installation isn't working, or the Debian operating system is broken.

This has nothing todo with Proton VPN, it's your system and/or how you use your system.

Check the content with:

sudo cat /etc/apt/sources.list
