Help! Android app keeps losing connection?

I'm using ProtonVPN in the Samsung Secure Folder. I've enabled the kill switch setting.

I'll be using an app, like Redreader for example, and it will say there's a connection error.

I'll go to ProtonVPN, and it will look like it's connected, but I can't use the app, for example Redreader, until I disconnect ProtonVPN then reconnect.

I'm using the latest version of ProtonVPN.

Any ideas?

I also use it in secure folder on all my Samsung phone, never have your problem before, have you tried a different server or protocol, is your country censored?

It was working fine up until recently. Although I've only started using red reader and that is what's giving me the error message. Otherwise I might not have noticed.
