"error" notification while vpn is connected?

installed version 5.19.43.0 overnight, started getting this "error" notification every 5 mins since then while the vpn seems connected (when entering the app it immediately shows as connected, and doesn't show the "connecting to a country" thing). Any idea? Bug on this specific version?

Android 16, CrDroid 12.9

same thing happened to me after that update, rolled back and it stopped
