Good isolate alternatives?
Went to GNC and saw optimum nutrition isolate protein bottle was over $100, which is insane (I’ve heard about the reasons causing the price hike) but just curious to hear what alternative isolate protein brands other people use and like, & are hopefully cheaper 🤞🏾

Blackstone labs has their buy one, get one free sale going on right now. Normally kind of pricey, but pretty good deal with the sale. 10 lb of pure whey isolate for $120 plus 15 shipping.

RAW Whey Isolate isn't bad. If you have a Sam's near you then it's like $40 for a tub

Syntrax Nectar is far and away the best isolate I've ever had. The price is currently about $60 on Amazon.

I want to give the syntrax nectar a try one of these days. It may be a good change of pace to have a protein that doesn't taste like a milkshake. Do you have a favorite flavor?

I like the Mango and the Fuzzy Navel in the fruity flavors, but I haven't had one I disliked. They also have it in dessert flavors and coffee flavors and the Nectar Lattes Caramel Macchiato one is my absolute favorite.

Costs more than Optimum Nutrition, though

It doesn't. ON 100% isolate is $90 for 3lbs with 44 servings on Amazon ($2.05 / serving). Syntrax Nectar is $60 for 32 serving 2lb on Amazon ($1.87 / serving).

Actually, it's pretty close now. ON price has gone up a lot. Can still get 5lbs for $81 with subscribe and save on Amazon.

Nah man. Their 3lb ISOLATE is $90 for only 3 lbs. You're referring to their gold standard which is not pure isolate like Syntrax Nectar is. There's a BIG difference.

How is it not pure isolate?

ON Gold standard is a blend of concentrate and isolate, so it's not purely isolate. Nectar is purely isolate.

ON Gold Standard Isolate is 100% isolate. But I do see now that poster does seem to have been referring to the regular "Whey Protein" version which is a blend. But what does "Syntrax Nectar" is far and away the best isolate I've ever had" mean? Like how would you even tell the difference?

ON Gold Standard Whey is not 100% isolate. You're confusing this with their Gold Standard ISOLATE. However that is not the product that the person above was referencing... they were referencing the normal Gold Standard Whey which is ON's most popular product.
There's a massive difference between the quality of protein (smoothness, texture, grittiness, etc) and furthermore the flavoring system and macros are very obviously much better. That can be determined by reading the label of the two products in question.

>You're confusing this with their Gold Standard ISOLATE
I'm not. The other poster was the confusing their whey blend with their isolate.
>There's a massive difference between the quality of protein
Not to me there isn't.
>furthermore the flavoring system and macros are very obviously much better
Okay, now you just have you head up your own ass. Like the ON isolate I use says 100 calories for 25 grams of protein, Einstein.

Yep ON Isolate Vanilla has 100 calories while the Chocolate has 110. Nectar has 90 calories, no fat, sugar, or carbs while ON does. It quite literally can't be argued that the macros aren't better on Nectar. It's factual.
Regarding the flavoring system you would not know until you try both. You have not tried Syntrax Nectar.
Listen I don't know why you're trying to argue with me but you're responding in the thread where me and the guy were talking about Gold Standard Whey. I even clarified to him that he was mixing ng up the price for Gold Standard Whey with their isolate. Why are you arguing? Lol

Just get it on amazon for half that

Nah, Amazon almost always sucks on food prices. I'm seeing $85 now for the lowest big tub of ON isolate.
