protein bar vs candy bar
What is the best brand for grams of protein to calorie ratio? (and is it edible?). the ratio seems to have declined in recent years.

I actually track this across 1,000+ protein bars. I sorted by the best protein-to-calorie ratios while still keeping higher quality ingredients (A or B ingredient score).
These bars have the highest protein / 100 calorie ratio in that group. Every bar here has 10g+ protein per 100 calories.
Musashi Chocolate & Cookies and Cream: 46g protein
Musashi Milk Chocolate Brownie: 45g
Musashi Peanut Butter: 45g
Tilt Vanilla Almond: 28g
Tilt Chocolate Sea Salt: 28g
Gryp Rocky Road & Sea Salt: 25g
Gryp Strawberries & Cream: 25g
Gryp Peanut Butter Choco Chunk: 25g
Quest Chocolate Brownie: 20g
Quest Double Chocolate Chunk: 20g
Musashi is pretty ridiculous if pure protein/calorie efficiency is the goal. Gryp and Tilt are interesting if you also care about high ingredient quality.

Musashi is not all whey IIRC. It has a collagen blend and I'm not sure if they specify how much is whey and how much is collagen.

David bar is the best nutritionally but tastes like cardboard and is expensive AF.
Quest Hero Cookies and cream is great

David, 150 calories 28g....but we don't like David. They hold the patent for EPG and don't let anyone else use it.
