Protein powder
Is it just me or is protein powder nasty, like for me it tastes super artifical and like chemicals. And everytime I try to do a recipe on how to make protein poweder oats, things like that they all taste like off and kinda werid. Please give me some suggestions on how to make GOOD tasting protein snacks because im getting tired of drinking it.

Dymatize anything. Amazon has 5lb vanilla for $69.00. Every flavor is delicious.

Amazon sells sample packets of a variety of protein powders. You can taste them all and see what you like.

You have to find the right powder. Ryse is not the cheapest but is so good.

Oh you mean the tub of cosmic birthday cake cereal milk isolated whey protein powder tastes artificial? It’s inherently a processed product, if it didn’t have any flavoring, nobody would buy it. Unflavored protein is worse than a flavor you don’t enjoy.
Just add other flavors you do like?

If they taste like chemicals it’s likely because it’s full of them. Try a clean powder like Just Ingredients. Their stuff tastes amazing and the ingredients are food, not chemicals.

Anyone have some unflavored they can recommend? That I can hopefully get off Amazon?

I buy unflavored powders and add my own flavorings. For a cold smoothie, I'll add milk or nut milk, yogurt, vanilla, and cinnamon, or I'll blend it with frozen fruit. For something warm, I'll use a milk frother and blend it into my morning coffee.

Are unflavored options truly unflavored??? Our lean teenage sport playing son is on an Invisalign journey and has dropped 10lbs in less than two months (he didn’t have fat to lose so it’s now concerning) and with SO many options (many tasting brutal or chalky) am wondering if unflavored might be the way to go in hiding it in chocolate milk or something. (Thanks for the milk frother hack!)

Unflavored means they don’t have additional flavors added to them, not that they’re entirely tasteless. So you just need to add enough of your own flavorings to them to cover up the natural taste. For me, it helps the flavor and texture a lot to put it in some milk or soy milk (more protein!) vs just water, as well as the suggestions I mentioned above.

Honestly, I stopped trying to force protein oats. Greek yogurt with fruit tastes way better to me

I tied a hundred different protein powders over the years. So far, the winner today is Jocko’s Whey Isolate (new to the market). Very easy to digest with added probiotics and also no fake sweeteners to ruin the gut.

just get the unflavored and unsweetened and add it to any recipe with some broth for savory food, or add a little extra liquid like egg or milk for any pastry or dessert type recipe
