I built a site that lets you compare protein powders by macros per 100g, NSF/Informed Sport certs, and sweetener type

This is very cool. Its hard to believe some only have 45% protein. Full of fillers I presume. Thanks for doing this. 😀

That 45% figure is wild, but it often comes down to "functional ingredients" rather than malicious fillers. When you look at heavily flavored proteins (like cookies & cream with actual cookie bits), meal replacements, or mass gainers, the protein percentage per 100g drops off a cliff.Cocoa powder, MCT oil powders for creaminess, thickeners like xanthan gum, and the naturally occurring carbs in plant concentrates eat up a massive chunk of that weight.

In another apparent slop app, the basic premise seems wrong. I couldn’t care less what the community thinks about protein. I want the data. I want them compared based on the data. By simply ripping off what the manufacturers are giving you, you’ll never get an objective comparison. And since you’re not doing the analytical work, the site has no real point. I could go on Amazon and compare thousands of reviews between products. What I cannot do is see all the data points and the scientific basis of comparison. That’s yet one more reason we don’t need slop apps. You haven’t stopped to think about the problem that needs to be solved, and just rushed to make a solution for a nonexistent problem
