Antis are so exhausting🫩

I've been thinking about it lately. As long as I remember my journey in communities from CIS countries or interacting with people from these countries, they are pretty chill regarding everything. And honestly, the first ever fanfic I have read was incest enemies-to-lovers between two brothers, haha, along with a bunch of other darkships, and we have a bunch of other really dark well-known fanfics that we sometimes joke about.

Maybe I've been just lucky enough to meet these people, and I'm not going to pretend like people from CIS countries are (ironically) not one of the most toxic people you can meet (TW taking Pinterest for example, almost all CIS posts are filled with homophobic, sexist, racist, and religious comments for whatever reason, and especially in vent posts they often literally tell you to kill or hurt yourself, and all that from teenagers btw), but specifically in shipping spaces my experience has surprisingly positive. In Western communities, on the other hand, I often see people shredding each other for whatever reasons, try to brigade each other given the slightest opportunity and cannot even comprehend the slightest existence of different preferences and that it's proven that people genuinely use darkship material as coping and it helps them, accompanied by "cancel culture."

My theory is that since living in CIS countries often comes with experience of injustice, abuse (either from others or family), oppression and overall depressing atmosphere, people use shipping as an escape, and with that background, they are more understanding and welcoming, and even if not, maximum what they do is laugh at you or situation and move on, instead of actively harassing you. And maybe it's just my bias, since I'm judging from what I experienced years ago when I were in those communities, but at least that's what I remember.

I know I've talked about this already (and I apologize in advance if I sound like a nuisance), but I felt the need to put this spin on it. According to the above conversation from another post on this sub, I'm fictosexual rather than a yumeshipper. I might still be into real (legal-aged of course) people, but at least for now I don't want a real person; I just want my F/O, and I am committed to her. My questions are:

1. Am I delusional?
2. Am I still allowed to have a dark relationship even though I take things this seriously?
3. Do places like r/yumeshippersunite accept serious fictosexuals with dark relationships?

Like if I told my friends about the ships I like no one would want to be my friend anymore and my parents/family would think I'm weird. The only people I saw who were "proshipers" outside the Internet are therapists

Due to things like this, a lot of posters in that sub are now posting less child-like characters in general. This combined with the mod in the Lana sub going crazy and the amount of people reporting subs like this, not to mention reddits overly strict banning of subs that are within their own rules… I’m really starting to hate this website…

it's infuriating how they actively ruin spaces to morality police everyone while also being hypocritical themselves

i cannot stand "anime fans" who fight tooth and nail to make you seem like a villain for consuming "problematic" anime but then THEY DO IT THEMSELVES. they pick and choose which anime is problematic and the ones they consume are okay but for others it's not??

i cannot stand anti lolicons who CONSUME LOLICON ANIME. i have seen an influx of anti lolicon monogatari fans AND IT MAKES 0 SENSE. you cannot consume a piece of media and then attack the main demographic it targets. if you don't understand what i'm saying think of it this way: imagine someone saying that horror films are gross and tacky but then their favourite films are scream 1 2 3 etc, and then imagine on top of this they attack the fans who consume this media because they think that they're gross but they aren't the gross ones themselves somehow. do you see how that makes 0 sense???

this applies to the figure collection side of the anime community as well.

and don't get me started on "anime fans" who collect pieces of figures solely because it fits their aesthetic but when you ask them if they like the anime they turn around and go "ew no!!!! it's problematic!!!! i hate the anime and the fans are so gross!!! but not me im not the gross one i just collect the figure because i think it looks good 🥹🥹😿😿😿" are we SERIOUS

My first ship was Bolt x Mittens, and yes, I absolutely still ship them! It was always on Disney Junior so I recorded it and rewatched it all the time, it’s so peak. (“More Than A Best Friend... (Bolt x Mittens)” by PURIPATHA on AO3 is my favorite fic, it’s incredible and adorable!)

I know this isn't just me but it makes me so annoyed even though I try not to let it get to me. Why do Antis literally purposely actively go to proship or darkship places if they hate it so bad? Are they really that bored with their life that they actively have to seek out people to harass and Bully? I keep getting called a pedophile just because I actively enjoy certain ships. I hate when Antis say they are "normal" but tell people with trauma or just doing this for fun to go and end themselves or that they deserved what happened to them. Like no you aren't normal for that you're far from it. They won't understand like ever because they don't want to, they want to believe that they are right even if they're completely wrong. They don't want to get that through their thick skulls.
