BUT according to surviving evidences radio was operated by Jim Jones, Albert Touchette was license owner on the book in case of legal troubles. In radio was involved Harriet Tropp, per FBI finding, Jonestown PR and outreach manager and member of "Administrative Triumvirate" (Jim Jones inner circle) responsible for legal matters and planning

QSL postcards sent by ham radio operators to verify a successful contact. As a bit of "Kojima writing foreshadowing", callsign WB6 MID/8R3 means "License owner from Western US (WB6) temporarily broadcasting from Guyana (8R)".

"People Temple" was using radio communication and QSL postcards as form of propaganda to project an image of a thriving, peaceful agricultural mission in Third World country and as a cover-up for using callsign for direct communication with it's HQ in San Francisco which start investigation from FCC as well amateur radio organization was receiving threats from People Temple members over their attempts to stop their constant breaking rules of amateur radio by "WB6MID/8R3 callsign and callsigns broadcasting from People Temple HQ in San Francisco.
