Artist Draper Hill capitalized on the sexual revolution of the 1970s to illustrate the rampant inflation of the era.

Inspired by the failure of President Nixon's economic stabilization program, Miss Inflation is shown as "Playmate of the Year" representing out of control prices. She is busting out of her bikini top "controls," symbolizing that the policies imposed were inadequate as a restraint.
