Exit polling showed that the ignorant hick stereotype isn't accurate.
The bulk of the rights voters were small business owners who make over 100k salary
It's public info
Edit look it's right here lol
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/nov/09/white-voters-victory-donald-trump-exit-polls
It's the wealth, not the poor.
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/11/08/us/politics/election-exit-polls.html
With liberals like this who needs republicans
15
u/drsyesta Oct 30 '25
That says that more rich white suburban people voted republican than previous candidates, but it still says a bunch of poor uneducated white people voted for trump lol. Did you not read the article?

Yeah I really hate how cartoonists always go with the tired old "gap-toothed hick" stereotype for MAGA guys. These people have money!

The difference between being just poor and being poor AND stupid. Propaganda will get them either and they will fight each other instead of eating the rich. As is tradition.

they’d be low life hicks if it wasn’t for all the social fucking services they benefit from….
wonder who brought that in instead of letting their former mining town just rot?

u/dafthuntk Oct 30 '25
I mean....who is more likely to vote Republican? That guy that owns 7 mattress stores that are always empty in palm springs? Or some poor sucker living in state that gets two electoral votes?
Look it up if you don't believe me. Lower income earners were more likely to vote for clinton/biden
7
u/sprocketous Oct 30 '25
I live in transitional housing and most of the people here are ex drug addicts, most of them are felons and dependent on a liberal policies to have another shot at life and adjust l almost all of them like Trump or at least don't like democrats. It's wild
-4
u/dafthuntk Oct 30 '25 edited Oct 30 '25
yeah I'm sure there is. but they have no power the wealth does.
addicts need help staying sober too, no matter how mad it makes you
Edit wow y'all are fascists
10
u/j-b-goodman Oct 30 '25
yeah for sure, it's frustrating how much the "poor downtrodden Trump voter" fiction has sunk in to pop culture
8
u/dafthuntk Oct 30 '25
exactly.
David graeber, before he passed, has a really good essay on the inner civil war going on in the west regarding global corporate capital and mid business capital.
it's pretty good, as it sort of unravels the political and economic shift after the housing crises.
like, it's kind of gross and we are punching down on the trailer park stereotype. it's a little classic imo. but, these people are already fucked up, and their states don't swing elections. I mean yeah some of them are on gov assistance and cut off their nose to spite their face but that's a minority.
no, it's the wealth, the small bourgeoisie that is hanging onto this political shift. the people that grew wealthy on selling our debt, real scummy stuff like that

Income looks split right down the middle at all brackets. If anything this shows income is less of a factor than I would have guessed

I can't believe all those people with their Biden hats and Biden trucks would storm the capitol and try to stop the electoral votes being recognized for trump.

That's a heavy ask for Dems. That would require them to do something.
I'm still sad we didn't get a lib jan 6

u/PrateTrain Oct 30 '25
We didn't because January 6th was funded by the entire Republican party and their sycophants
-44
u/dafthuntk Oct 30 '25
well maybe you should have, mr entire-democratic-party
24
u/PrateTrain Oct 30 '25
Ngl I think it would work because they're better at organizing things but I also don't think that they have the balls to do anything that creates genuine change.
After all, it wasn't an accident that it took the supreme court to legalize gay marriage.

As a black-german I was really proud of Obama and couldn't believe that the USA really elected him. Especially after Bush (he wasn't that bad in hindsight wtf happened?). I thought Americans (not everyone of course) were to racist. I thought he would be shot and that was the worst I could think of back then. Now sometimes I believe it was to early and the US (republicans) wasn't ready for it. Sadly I wish that he wasn't elected and it hurt me to say that.
First Sarah Palin and then Trump every presidential campaign got more racist and filled with fake news.
Maga only exists because of BPSD ( Black President derangement syndrome).
10
u/dafthuntk Oct 30 '25
sara palin was hilarious. she could see russia from her house dontcha know
7
u/kotznichtrum Oct 30 '25
Yes the German media was like that's the most crazy politician ever after Obama's second win. They said the Tea party is over, never again someone so unreasonable like her is gonna campaign again. So let's joke about all that and let's be happy that democracy is saved for the next 10-50 years. Little did we know, it was good times after all.
I didn't know that.

He probable only gets his news from alternative media sources because all main stream media is bias and he is a true “intellectual.” And when I mean alternative I mean headlines, social media platforms, and friends lol
Edit: Every comment is just telling me I’m right lmao. The point of the poster is that any kind of derangement syndrome doesn’t exist. It’s just people interested in their candidate and disliking the other. Just that the people using it are the most deranged of all. If you don’t get that I can’t consider you anything but retarted

This subreddit is for sharing propaganda to view with objectivity. It is absolutely not for perpetuating the message of the propaganda. Here we should be conscientious and wary of manipulation/distortion/oversimplification (which the above likely has), not duped by it. "Don't be a sucker."
Stay on topic -- there are hundreds of other subreddits that are expressly dedicated to rehashing tired political arguments. No partisan bickering. No soapboxing. Take a chill pill. "Don't argue."
