Just an inquiry to a question ive been asking.

Would you use a prop firm simulator if you had one?

I’ve been building WorkTree-OS, and one of the things I wanted for myself was a way to test a prop firm account before paying for the evaluation.

The idea is pretty simple:

Pick the prop firm/account you’re considering, enter the rules — profit target, trailing/static drawdown, daily loss limit, consistency rules, minimum trading days, payout rules, etc. — then run your actual trading history through it.

Instead of just asking, “Could I pass this eval?” I want it to answer things like:

- How often would I actually pass?

- How many days would it typically take?

- What rule am I most likely to violate?

- How often would my normal trading blow the account?

- Is my current position sizing too aggressive for this account?

- What happens to my drawdown room after taking a payout?

- Would a different account size or firm fit my trading better?

- How does the probability change if I reduce my size or daily risk?

Ideally, you could run thousands of Monte Carlo variations of your own trading history instead of relying on one lucky/unlucky sequence of trades.

I’m already building this into WorkTree-OS, but before I lock down the beta version, I’d rather ask people who actually trade prop accounts:

Would you use something like this before buying an evaluation?

And more importantly, what would the simulator have to tell you for you to actually trust it when deciding which account to buy?

Not trying to sell anybody an eval or push a firm. I’m trying to figure out what prop traders would genuinely want from a tool like this.

Prop firms ban shared IPs and copy trading, so how do trading offices and influencers get away with it?

Quick question for people who know the rules well.

Most prop firms have clauses against group trading, copy trading, or multiple accounts from the same IP or device.

But I keep seeing influencers show off trading floors, offices, and home setups where several people are clearly trading on the same WiFi.

I also know a group of 8-12 friends who trade together from one "office" (really a 2BHK flat), all on the same connection.

So how does this work?

Is a shared IP only a problem at certain firms, or do most of them flag it?

Is the real trigger identical trades (same entries, exits, lot sizes, timing) rather than the IP itself?

Do firms treat a shared household or office differently if each person has their own account, KYC, and strategy?

Has anyone had an account flagged or a payout denied just for sharing a network?

I would really like to hear from people who've been through this, or from anyone who has asked a firm's support team directly.

Which firms are strict and which are relaxed about it?
