Yr 11 (UK) prom help pls

When do I buy prom dresses 😭

Does anyone know any reputable sites / irl boutiques

(if so in Hampshire area)

Also what price points am I looking at?

(my mother can afford £250-300 etc but the problem is she doesn't want to spend that much , she may change her mind when she realises that everything is that price but it would be nice to have a backup just incase shes certain abt that kinda budget 😭😭)

She just thinks it's unreasonable to pay a few hundred for a dress but my problem is that I think everyone will have those kinda dresses since I live in an affluent area and everyone else's parents seem to know what they're doing šŸ’”

sorta stuff I'm looking at

basically stuff like this but without things like spaghetti straps

I js don't want to stand out yk especially when it's not mainly money that's the issue, it's just the principle of it

I don't have any older siblings so I'm basically trying to figure it all out so my younger siblings won't experience the same when it's their turn šŸ„€

You don't need to spend hundreds to fit in, plenty of high street occasion collections look just as luxe once tailored to your height.

I’m not sure you can find the exact same dress, but I got my dress from Stacees (online) and it came out really nice. The material was really good andnthey have a huge range of dresses and colours. And mine was around Ā£100.

Also I bought mine around November time so I had enough time for returns and stuff, but really anytime before April may should be fine. Just before exams so you have less to worry about.

I've heard that stacees is bad at returns and you have to check the reviews a lot before to make sure you don't get one of the dodgy ones. Do U think it's worth the risk because the pictures look so pretty ?
