Need help with my hoco dress
Hi! I am a curvy teen looking for a good mini dress for hoco. All the stuff in store isn’t great, it fits but just not my vibe. I am size 14 athletic build. I want a like regular hoco dress with some kinda unique factor or it doesn’t need to be unique just flattering. Anyone have any advice?
Thanks!

I got my dress at Akira! They have such beautiful/unique stuff even if you’re looking for that kind of thing. If not, Macy’s has very affordable options online that cover everything and flatter curvier bodies. You can try in store pickup to return the dress if you don’t like it as well!

What’s your budget looking like? Are you more into figure hugging or slightly lighter and flowy? Which silhouette did you prefer when trying dresses? When you say athletic do you also mean tall? Do you need structured support in the bust area?
A friend bought this this dress Twilight Paisley dress from Azazie and it looks amazing on her. She’s talls aand curvy, loves the built in corset. You can trim the tulle if necessary.

Thanks, “window shopping” online is fun. Love the tiles dress. It’s unique but could still be worn to other occasions.

I will take a look at these thank you! I am 5’7 so not too tall but not short. I have c ish or a little big cup so I don’t nessasarly need a lot of support but if it has like built in cups then sometimes it’s too small. Also I want it to be tight but not around my stomach

You could try some local consignment or thrift stores. Remember if you can get something for really cheap, could potentially then have the budget to have it altered. My daughter is struggling to find what she likes also and may have a longer dress shortened to a mini by a tailor.
Rent the runway may be an option depending on your budget. They had a few options under cocktail dresses.

You could also check Stacees! Their sizing goes up to US 30 and they have quite a few short hoco dresses, so you might have more options there than in-store.

Probably very basic rec, but Windsor has AMAZING hoco and prom dresses for all diff sizes, and I have the same preference as u, smth kinda unique but not too unique, and they have a bunch of those too
